Terms of Use

By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you have read and understood this Agreement and that you agree to be bound by it. If you do not agree to these terms, do not download, install, or use the Service.

ReceiptKid operates a tiered age model:

By allowing a minor to use the Service, the parent or guardian confirms they have read and agreed to this Agreement on the child's behalf. Parents are responsible for ensuring that children use the Service in accordance with this Agreement.

Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, Eden Ecommerce Ltd grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download, install, and use the ReceiptKid app on a device that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial, family use.

This licence does not include the right to sublicence, sell, resell, transfer, assign, or otherwise exploit the Service or any content within it.

You agree not to:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Use the Service to transmit fraudulent, misleading, or abusive content
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its related systems
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access or interact with the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or bans
• Use the Service to make misleading claims about money owed between family members

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

The parent or guardian who creates a family group is the account holder and is responsible for managing family members, including adding and removing child accounts. The account holder is responsible for ensuring that all family members use the Service in accordance with this Agreement.

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information.

ReceiptKid offers a free tier and an optional premium subscription ("ReceiptKid Premium"). The features included in each tier are described in the app and on our website.

Billing: Premium subscriptions are billed on a monthly or annual basis as selected at the time of purchase. The price is displayed clearly before you confirm your subscription.

Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You will be charged for the next period within 24 hours before the current period ends.

Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will continue to have access to premium features until then. We do not offer partial refunds for unused periods.

Price changes: We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price increase. Your continued use of the premium features after the new price takes effect constitutes acceptance.

Payment processing: All payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Eden Ecommerce Ltd does not store payment card details. Refunds are subject to the refund policies of the relevant app store.

No misleading rewards: ReceiptKid does not offer real monetary rewards, cashback, or financial incentives. Any reference to "earning" or "rewards" in the app refers to a parent approving a reimbursement request — not a payment made by ReceiptKid.

You own your data. "User Content" means any information, images, or data you submit to the Service, including receipt photos, expense descriptions, and account details. You retain full ownership of your User Content at all times.

By submitting User Content, you grant Eden Ecommerce Ltd a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you and your family group. We do not use your User Content for any other purpose, including advertising, training AI models, or sharing with third parties for their own use.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of your User Content. You must not submit content that is fraudulent, defamatory, or in breach of any third party's rights.

You can delete your User Content at any time from within the app. Upon account closure, all User Content is deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

ReceiptKid is not a bank, payment processor, e-money institution, or regulated financial service. Eden Ecommerce Ltd is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) or any other financial regulator.

The Service is a household tracking tool only. It does not:

• Hold, transfer, or process real money on your behalf
• Provide financial advice or investment recommendations
• Guarantee the accuracy of any balance or record for financial or legal purposes
• Constitute a legally binding record of debt between family members

If you have a genuine financial dispute with another person, you should seek independent legal or financial advice. ReceiptKid is not responsible for any financial decisions made based on information shown in the app.

The balances displayed in ReceiptKid are records of what family members have agreed is owed between them — they are not real money held in an account.

When a parent approves a reimbursement request in the app, this creates a record that the parent has agreed to reimburse the child. It does not automatically transfer any money. The actual transfer of money (e.g. cash, bank transfer) happens outside the app and is entirely the responsibility of the family members involved.

Eden Ecommerce Ltd is not responsible for any failure by a family member to make a payment that has been approved in the app, or for any discrepancy between the app balance and actual money exchanged.

The Service, including its design, code, trademarks, logos, and all content created by Eden Ecommerce Ltd, is owned by Eden Ecommerce Ltd and protected by UK and international intellectual property laws. Nothing in this Agreement transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

"ReceiptKid" and the ReceiptKid logo are trademarks of Eden Ecommerce Ltd. You may not use them without our prior written permission.

The Service uses trusted third-party providers for cloud hosting, push notifications, crash reporting, and payment processing. These providers are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Eden Ecommerce Ltd is not responsible for the practices of any third-party service.

For details of the third-party services we use and what data they process, please refer to our Privacy Policy — Section 6.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Eden Ecommerce Ltd does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy of any balance, record, or information provided through the Service.

Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Eden Ecommerce Ltd's total liability to you for any claims arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Eden Ecommerce Ltd in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £50.

Eden Ecommerce Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

In particular, Eden Ecommerce Ltd is not liable for: any financial dispute between family members; any failure to make a payment that was approved in the app; or any reliance on app balances for financial or legal purposes.

You may terminate this Agreement at any time by deleting your account through the app settings. Upon termination, your licence to use the Service will immediately cease.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated this Agreement or applicable law. We will endeavour to provide reasonable notice where possible.

Upon termination, we will delete your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer resident in another jurisdiction, you may also have rights under the laws of your country of residence that cannot be excluded by this Agreement.

If you downloaded the ReceiptKid app from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:

• This Agreement is between you and Eden Ecommerce Ltd only, not Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the Service.
• In the event of any failure of the Service to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the Service.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the Service, including product liability claims, consumer protection claims, or intellectual property infringement claims.
• Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement. Upon your acceptance of these terms, Apple will have the right to enforce this Agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary.
• You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

We may update this Agreement from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via the app or by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Agreement.
